Needs acceleration physics
Great idea. Implemented with a great many features too (not a half-assed job like some would-have-been-good ideas that I've seen). Gameplay's a little glitchy though.
If you're up to the challenge, I'd suggest that you modify your game to use acceleration. If you think about it, you'll see that most console platformers do this. You'll have to rework your engine, but it'll look and play way better. It'll also make jumping across things less frustrating (because you'll decelerate at the peak of the jump, giving you more airtime and making it easier to manuever).
